Joss can never say it,” [Drew] Goddard says. “He’s very magnanimous about this stuff. But I look at Twilight and I’m like, ‘Really? A teenage girl falls in love with a vampire that she can’t be with? Is no one going to point out that this has been done before? We’re really going to pretend this is original?’

I mean, this is the only answer for me. All his shows are brilliant; Buffy might be the most important television show I’ve ever watched.
(the image I chose is my fave iteration of the cast, even though it’s missing faith)
Favourite BTVS villian : 1. Angelus
-“Well, maybe next time I’ll bring you with me, Spike. Might be handy to have you around if I ever need a really good parking space”
-“ I could never live in a rat infested stinkhole like this, pardon me for saying so. But I gotta have myself a proper bed or I’m a terror”
I liked Angel. A lot. OK, so I liked Angel more than a lot. I had a crush, the way you can only have a crush when you’re 14 years old. But David Boreanaz’s performance as Angel was sort of hit or miss. Sometimes it was great. Sometimes it seemed labored.
But David Boreanaz as Angelus? Whiz bang spot on terrifying perfect 100% of the time. And the character, as written? FUCKING TERRIFYING.
There were a lot of awesome villains on Buffy, but I gotta agree with the OP: Angelus is #1 forever.
